Training your pet to use a smart pet door is usually easier than most people expect. With a little patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, most pets can quickly learn how to interact with the door confidently and naturally. This guide will help you create a smooth, stress-free training experience for both you and your pet.

Training Steps

Follow these simple steps to help your pet learn the door comfortably and smoothly.
  • Step 1: Introduce the doorbell
    Hold the doorbell and guide your pet to press it. Reward immediately after each successful press.
  • Step 2: Transfer to the installed position
    Install the doorbell on the door/wall. Guide your pet to press the installed doorbell and give a reward after success.
  • Step 3: Train real in-and-out use
    Train your pet to use the doorbell for both entry and exit:
    - When your pet is inside the house, guide it to press the doorbell to go outside.
    - When your pet is outside, guide it to press the doorbell to come inside.
    - Reward after each correct action.
