How does the automatic dog door work?

Your dog simply presses the paired dogbell, and the door automatically lifts to allow entry or exit. No collar required.

Is the door safe for pets?

Yes. The built-in anti-pinch safety system uses sensors to detect obstacles and immediately stops and reverses if your pet is underneath, helping prevent injury.

How long does the battery last?

It supports up to 4,000 open-close cycles per fully charge. If used 100 times per day, it can last up to 40 days.

What happens if there is a power outage?

In case of a power outage, the system automatically completes one final closing action, ensuring the door never stops midway or stays open. A low-battery alert on the control box reminds you to recharge in time.

What door thickness is supported?

The pet door is designed for doors with thicknesses ranging from 1 3/16” to 2 3/16”. If your door thickness is out of the range, please contact us via sales@tidytechpet.com; If the standard size doesn’t fit your pet or existing hole, custom sizing is also available.

Is installation difficult?

No. The package includes a cutting template, installation guide, and all required hardware to make installation straight forward for most DIY users.

How do I train my dog to use the door?

Most pets learn to use the door within a week, and some in just 2–3 days. We recommend using treats and positive reinforcement during the first few sessions. Here's the Training Guide.

My pet is a bit timid. Will the sound scare it?

Both the doorbell and operating sounds are adjustable. The doorbell volume can be set from 0–75 dB, and the S-size door runs quietly at 56–62 dB. The overall sound is gentle and pet-friendly, so there’s no need to worry about scaring your pet.

What weight range of pets is it suitable for?

Since each pet’s body type is different, we recommend selecting the appropriate size based on your pet’s width and height as shown in the size guide.
